Adrian Ciaurriz

Former Head Chef at Espaisucre & Pastry Chef at Noma
Adrian Ciaurriz's experience in gastronomy began at the age of 17, working in a small restaurant in Hondarribia, where he spent 3 years and studying cooking in Aiala (Zarautz, Basque Country). After an internship in Alameda, he became interested in pastry, so he moved to Barcelona to study in Espaisucre, the first only dessert restaurant in the world, where he learned the importance of the deep knowledge of flavors. When he completed his studies there, he was hired as Head Chef of the restaurant. After two years in the restaurant, he became an instructor of Espaisucre, where he taught for a year, carrying out the annual Restaurant Pastry Course and being in charge of the Espaisucre book. Two years ago, Adrian joined the Chocolate Academy team in Barcelona as a Junior Chef, where his work focused on the technical and scientific side of pastry and flavor. Now, Chef Adrian's continues his journey at Noma, the best restaurant in the world.
